Malton can be found in northern Mississauga, near the famous Woodbine racetrack, and close to Toronto Pearson International Airport. With easy access to Highways 407 and 427, Malton is ideal for those commuting to surrounding cities like Brampton or Toronto.

Malton enjoys a rich ethnic diversity, with thriving South Asian, Polish and Italian communities. Young and established families are increasingly attracted to the richly inclusive atmosphere and warm, friendly environment of homeowners and local businesses.

Malton is also known for the historically significant fire that occurred in October of 1969 when a gas main exploded, taking the life of Jean Perigo and ravaging much of old Malton. Efforts to rebuild after the devastation moved the communities and economic centre away from the original pioneer village. Today, very little is left of old Malton.
